There are many examples in the built environment to learn from. Some show their successes and some show their failures. We use these examples to inform our designs so that we are always improving.
Each design is site specific and pertains only to the site in which it inhabits. The design takes advantage of the natural assets and celebrates their presence.
Southern vernacular is crucial in our designs.
- Some examples would be:
- Large windows for day lighting
- Deep overhangs to protect from the elements
- Opportunities for natural ventilation
- Local materials to keep shipping at a minimum
